Founded in 1985 by R.S. Helwick and J.L. van Druten, Tech Spares cc traded under the name of Barnett's Auto Spares for many years. A branch office was situated in Potgieter Street where we catered for all makes of passenger and light delivery vehicles with the main office being at Waltloo where we concentrated mainly on trucks spares.
During 1966 it was decided to move away from the name Barnett's and it was changed to Protech Motors, specialising in new and good used motor vehicle spares for Mazda, Ford and Volvo.
This was done so as to further develop the specialist skills that had been gained over the years being closely associated with Ford and Mazda. With more than 30 years experience it was a logical move.
Protech Motors is today located in the Silverton Industrial Area called Waltloo and can be found on the corner of Kuit and Waltloo streets. This area is ideal suited for business as it is easily accessible from all major arterial roads such as N1 & N4. We are also situated closely to the Ford Motor Company of South Africa with whom we have close ties.
We pride ourselves on the service we supply and we will send parts to any part of South Africa using an efficient courier service. We welcome enquiries for parts as well as technical "how to" advice on all Ford and Mazda vehicles. |
